Sturgeon Electric completed this new light rail project for Valley Metro and the city of Mesa, Arizona. This 1.9-mile Gilbert Road extension serves the growing transit needs of the East Valley and connects riders to other transportation options in Tempe and Phoenix. Sturgeon Electric鈥檚 crews installed 64 streetlights, ten traffic signals, two miles of fiber optic interconnect, plus power and lighting systems to two station platforms, two retention basins plus a park-n-ride lot. Sturgeon Electric鈥檚 portion of the work took two years to complete.
