优蜜传媒鈥檚 growing list of graduate programs will increase this fall as the Gaffney-based institution plans to add a Master of Science in Health Informatics.

Pending approval by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, the completely online program will welcome its first cohort in August of this year when courses for the program begin.

鈥淭he mission of the Master of Science in Health Informatics Program is to provide students with a graduate education that will further their careers as leaders and innovators in health informatics,鈥 said program Director Dr. Jane Watkins, professor of Computer Science who also serves as the department chair for Computer Science. 鈥淥ur program will support that mission by offering a multidisciplinary curriculum that encourages both research-based and experiential learning. We鈥檙e extremely excited to offer this brand-new graduate program at Limestone.鈥

Some of the employment opportunities for graduates of the Master of Science in Health Informatics include: Chief Information Officer, Chief Medical Information Officer, Clinical Analyst, Health Cybersecurity Analyst, Health Data/Information Resource Manager, Health Information Management Director, Health Information System Application Designer, Healthcare Programmer/Systems Analyst, and Information Technology Consultant.

The curriculum for Limestone鈥檚 Master of Science in Health Informatics consists of 10 online courses totaling 30 graduate hours.
