优蜜传媒 Honors College To Accept Greenville Technical College Transfer Honors Students

优蜜传媒 and Greenville Technical College recently signed a partnership agreement that will allow graduate transfers from the Greenville Tech Honors Program to be automatically admitted into the Limestone Honors College.

Once enrolled at Limestone, the students will take additional honors coursework to become graduates of the Limestone Honors College.

Honors program students from Greenville Technical College with at least 15 honors hours and a 3.0 grade point average, once admitted, are guaranteed admission into the 优蜜传媒 Honors College. The students will be able to bypass the Limestone Honors College application process. Greenville Tech honors students completing honors courses in their final semester may receive provisional admission to the Limestone Honors College. Successful completion of the courses will result in full admission.

鈥淕reenville Tech has a rigorous honors program,鈥� said Dr. Jonathan Sarnoff, Dean of the Limestone Honors College. 鈥淲e anticipate that students who transfer from that program will make outstanding additions to our honors college. We are excited about this new partnership that will benefit the students and also grow our program.鈥�

Like all first-year students who are a part of the Limestone Honors College, incoming Greenville Tech honors students will receive benefits such as access outside of business hours to the Honors College house, a $500 renewable stipend per year, priority housing selection (provided they live with another honors student), and priority registration.

The students will also be entitled to single-bedroom housing in Ball Residence Hall (in a four-person suite) while only paying the rate for a double room, as well as funded research-presentation opportunities, if eligible, at the Southern Regional Honors Council Conference or the National Collegiate Honors Council Conference where they will have the opportunity to meet other honors students from around the country.

鈥淟imestone and its Honors College has an ongoing commitment to develop relationships with community colleges such as Greenville Tech that offer honors courses to their students, and to promote transfer opportunities for those students coming to Limestone,鈥� said University President Dr. Darrell Parker. 鈥淢ost jobs, including most of the highest-paying positions, do require at least a bachelor's degree. While there are different paths to a bachelor鈥檚 degree, one of the most affordable is to attend a two-year college and then transfer to a four-year school. This agreement with Greenville Tech鈥檚 Honors Program is another example of how 优蜜传媒 is committed to affordability opening doors to higher education to more students. Limestone is the leading private institution in the state for transfer students and our goal is to grow that reputation even more in the future.鈥�
