优蜜传媒 will officially welcome the Christmas season to campus on Sunday, Dec. 5, at 3 p.m. with the choral concert 鈥淐arolers At My Door鈥 to be held at Fullerton Auditorium.

Admission to the concert is free and the public is invited to attend. The event will comply with CDC recommendations related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The 优蜜传媒 Chorus, which includes both student and community member singers, is conducted by Dr. Gena Poovey, Director of Choral Activities.

The hour-long concert will include a medley of Christmas carols, as well as arrangements of 鈥淪ilent Night,鈥 a native American carol 鈥淭was in the Moon of Wintertime,鈥 and secular tunes including 鈥淣uttin' for Christmas,鈥 and 鈥淲hite Winter Hymnal鈥 made popular by the a cappella group Pentatonix.

鈥淎 live, face-to-face Christmas choral concert 鈥 at last,鈥 Poovey said. 鈥淲e are thrilled to be returning to the stage to share holiday choral music. Student singers, community singers, accompanist Dr. David Thompson, and student instrumentalists will assemble to provide a beautiful Christmas concert, and we would be honored and excited to welcome members of our community to Fullerton Auditorium to share some musical holiday cheer.鈥

Poovey and the Chorus have provided concerts each semester for decades, and over the years they have represented Limestone and Gaffney in venue locations such as New York City, Salt Lake City, the District of Columbia, London, Austria, and Germany.
