优蜜传媒鈥檚 chapter of Educators Rising will host International Dot Day activities on Thursday, Sept. 14, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on the front campus.

The 优蜜传媒 Board of Trustees has accepted the resignation of Dr. Monica Baloga, as Interim President, effective immediately.

优蜜传媒 will offer a Virtual Open House event on September 20, starting at 12 p.m. & September 27 at 5:30 p.m. for its Online Undergraduate and Graduate Programs. The event is FREE, but registration is required. The deadline to register for the first session is Tuesday, September 19, at 5 p.m. The deadline to register for the second session is Tuesday, September 26, at 5 p.m.

The 优蜜传媒 Art Gallery has announced its first exhibition of fall semester, titled 鈥淒ancing Ledge.鈥� The exhibit is comprised of one large scale abstract multimedia sculpture and a series of dimensional collages. It opened on August 5 and will run through October 5. There will be a reception and artist talk on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 5 p.m., in the Hines & Riggins Center lobby.

The 优蜜传媒 Art Gallery is calling for submissions for its Fall 2023 Juried Exhibit.

Daniel Huggin was recently named as the new Chief of Campus Safety at 优蜜传媒.

Great news for students from South Carolina! The South Carolina Higher Education Tuition Grants Commission recently voted unanimously to increase the maximum grant from the $4,700 initial amount approved earlier this year to $4,800 for the 2023-2024 academic year.

优蜜传媒 had a combined 262 students named to either the Dean鈥檚 List or the Honor Roll for the spring semester of 2023. A total of 157 students made the Dean鈥檚 List, while 105 made the Honor Roll.

It鈥檚 been a long and lonely summer for 优蜜传媒鈥檚 mascot 鈥淏ernie鈥� The Saint Bernard. Since the spring semester ended in May, 鈥淏ernie鈥� has found himself alone for months here on campus, waiting for our new and returning Saints to arrive this fall. Hang in there, 鈥淏ernie.鈥� It won鈥檛 be long before our beautiful and historic campus is filled with students once again.

优蜜传媒's Fullerton Auditorium hosted the South Carolina Peach Festival Pageant on Saturday, July 22. Limestone is proud to be a partner and sponsor of the Peach Festival right here in our hometown.

优蜜传媒's football team kicks off the 2023 season at West Georgia on Thursday, Aug. 31! The Saints players and coaches will be handing out official schedule cards along the route of the S.C. Peach Festival Parade on Saturday, July 15, starting at 10 a.m. in downtown Gaffney.

优蜜传媒 is launching its new 鈥淪aints 500鈥� Challenge to engage its dedicated donor base and to provide its students with the resources needed to be successful in the classroom and on campus.

优蜜传媒 has announced a new athletic partnership with Under Armour and BSN SPORT that will outfit all Saints鈥� student-athletes beginning with the 2023-2024 season.

Recent 优蜜传媒 graduate and psychology major Hunter H. Moody presented a poster of his research titled 鈥淧aranormal Beliefs: Picture vs. Video Influences鈥� during the 19th annual South Carolina Upstate Research Symposium held in March on the campus of USC Upstate in Spartanburg. In addition, Limestone Psychology professors Dr. Justin Bailey and Dr. Michelle Phillips-Meek presented their research titled 鈥淧olitical Affiliation And Attitudes Toward COVID-19 On A College Campus.鈥�

Following the most successful season in program history, the 优蜜传媒 football team returns for the 2023 season with an 11-game schedule that includes six home games and nine South Athletic Conference showdowns.

优蜜传媒 marked another significant milestone in its 178-year history with the recent election of Randall L. Richardson as the first African American to Chair its Board of Trustees.

The South Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities (SCICU) announced earlier this week the receipt of a Power:Ed award that will provide completion grants for students at financial risk for dropping out of college. Qualifying students who could benefit include those from Limestone and others at the 21 private higher education institutions that are members of the SCICU.

The No.2-seeded 优蜜传媒 men's lacrosse team hosts No.5-seed Lenoir-Rhyne this Sunday, May 21, at 1 p.m. in the NCAA Division II National Championship Semifinals. The winner will advance into the National Title Game on Sunday, May 28, in Philadelphia. Tickets to the semifinal contest at Saints Field against the visiting Bears are now available online. Adult tickets are $5 and student tickets (12-under and college students) are $3 each.

The No. 2-seeded 优蜜传媒 men's lacrosse team will host No. 6 seed University of Indianapolis in an NCAA Division II National Championship Quarter-Final Game on Sunday, May 14, at 1 p.m., on Saints Field in Gaffney.

It was announced earlier this week that former 优蜜传媒 basketball player Charles Blue has been named as the new head coach for the boys' basketball team at Gaffney High School.

优蜜传媒 music professor Dr. David Thompson will mark an end of an era Saturday when he hears the final notes from 鈥淧omp and Circumstance鈥� ring through Fullerton Auditorium.

优蜜传媒 To Host Spring Jazz Fest On April 25 The 优蜜传媒 Jazz Ensemble will host the Limestone Spring Jazz Fest on Tuesday, April 25, at 7 p.m., in Fullerton Auditorium. The concert is free, and the public is invited to attend. The joint concert with the Spartanburg Jazz Ensemble will feature classic big band jazz music as well as more contemporary arrangements and compositions. The Limestone Jazz Ensemble is conducted by Spencer Nance, and the Spartanburg Jazz Ensemble is conducted by Dr. Tom Wright. 鈥淭his is a great opportunity for our students in the Jazz Ensemble to perform with musicians of a high caliber from the area,鈥� Nance said. 鈥淚t also gives us the opportunity to invite musicians from the community to perform on our beautiful campus.鈥� Established in 1996 under the auspices of the Spartanburg Community Band, the Spartanburg Jazz Ensemble was formed in order to create an opportunity for local musicians to provide quality jazz performances to the public. The Jazz Band performs at events such as Spartanburg鈥檚 Spring Fling, Music on Main, Dickens of a Christmas, and for special programs such as the Pan American Games for the Blind. The Jazz Band also performs on its own during the popular 鈥淚ce Cream Sundays鈥� Summer Concert Series and the Christmas Festival.

优蜜传媒 and its Athletic Department have announced that it is discontinuing its women鈥檚 wrestling program effectively immediately. Currently enrolled students will retain their scholarships through the completion of their fourth academic year if they remain at Limestone.

A proactive strategic realignment of resources being implemented by Limestone will better position the University to support long-term goals and to serve its mission to deliver excellence in educating students from diverse backgrounds, including those individuals who may find access to higher education difficult.

优蜜传媒 has appointed Hailey P. Martin as its new Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics, making her the first female in the institution鈥檚 history to serve in that position.
